16 November 2022 – Pause & Pray

Every Wednesday we invite you to Pause & Pray with us. Today’s Pause & Pray is curated by Brigid Dwyer.

She writes, “As we’re finding ourselves in the business end of the semester, and as many in our community are heading out to Denver this week for AAR/SBL, this week’s Pause and Pray has an academic theme.”

Pray:

O God, you unceasingly put your ongoing work on display. We entrust to you all who will soon be performing or presenting. Give them clarity of expression, that they might connect with the minds and hearts of their audiences. Channel any nervousness into excitement for the moment and the opportunity. Give them confidence in their craft and grace for their mistakes. And as their work is magnified, let your voice be amplified in them and through them, by the compelling utterance of the Holy Spirit, who reigns with you and our Lord Jesus Christ, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Meditate:

Psalm 25:3-4
3 Show me your ways, O LORD, *
and teach me your paths.
4 Lead me in your truth and teach
me, *
for you are the God of my
salvation;
in you have I trusted all the day
long.
