“Only Love”
Words: Adam Tice, Music: Mark Miller, OneLicense #A-729109

Violence only leads to violence.
Hatred only leads to hate.
Violence only leads to violence.
Hatred only leads to hate.
Only love, only love,
Only love leads to love, only love.
Only love, only love,
Only love leads to love, only love.

“We Resist”
Words/Music: Mark Miller, OneLicense #A-729109

We Resist, we refuse to let hatred in!
We rise up, we won’t back down!
We’re in this ‘til the end.

Pray for your enemies!
Welcome the stranger!
Show love to your neighbor!
We’re in this ‘til the end.

Greetings

Dr. Jonathan Golden

Scripture Reading

Amos 5:21-24

Ava Tucker

21 I hate, I despise your festivals,
and I take no delight in your solemn assemblies.
22 Even though you offer me your burnt offerings and grain offerings,
I will not accept them,
and the offerings of well-being of your fatted animals
I will not look upon.
23 Take away from me the noise of your songs;
I will not listen to the melody of your harps.
24 But let justice roll down like water
and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

Leader: The Word of God for the people of God.
All: Thanks be to God.

Sending Song

“Draw the Circle Wide” Seminary Choir
Words: Gordon Light, Music: Mark Miller, OneLicense #A-729109

Draw the circle, draw the circle wide.
Draw the circle, draw the circle wide.
No one stands alone,
we’ll stand side by side.
Draw the circle, draw the circle wide

Draw the circle wide, draw it wider still.
Let this be our song: no one stands alone. Standing side by side,
Draw the circle, draw the circle wide

In your sadness and in your grief
From all the pain
It seems there’s no relief
We will hold you
Until the storm subsides
We’ll draw the circle,
draw the circle wide!

Draw the circle wide, draw it wider still.
Let this be our song: no one stands alone. Standing side by side,
Draw the circle, draw the circle wide.
Draw the circle, draw the circle wide.
