Every Wednesday we invite you to Pause and Pray with us.
Today’s Pause & Pray was written and curated by Thurselle Chisolm-Williams.
PRAY:
Dear God,
Today I enter this time of prayer of necessity yet not urgently… I honor the knowledge that Prayer is the very lifeblood of my existence, it is key in my life , and it is the spiritual posture towards a right relationship with you God. In this prayer time I worship you, I thank you, I make supplication, I am unveiling, I confess , I am convicted, I am regenerated, I am released, I am comforted, I know my truth and yours, in this prayer I bind every word you have not spoken about me, I loose every word you have declared over me, I am delivered from negative self-talk, I silence the outer voices of doubt and discrimination, I yield my ears, my heart, my spirit, and my mind as an offering to you, they are my sacrifice today and yet is this prayer. I no longer settle for emergency spiritual transfusions when life has depleted me of its natural spiritual run through my veins. So God, I pause and I pray. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight oh Lord my rock and my redeemer.
MEDITATE:
Matthew 6:6-8
6 But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you. 7 “When you are praying, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
