Every Wednesday, we invite you to pause and pray with us. Today’s Pause & Pray is written and curated by Hyunjun Jung.
Pray
O God of life and resurrection, We grieve the loss of Rev. Dr. Tanya Linn Bennett — a teacher, a chaplain, a beloved presence woven into the very fabric of this place.
In our sorrow, remind us that you wept too, at the tomb of a friend. And yet — you are the God who rolls away stones.
Hold us between grief and hope. May her spirit live on in all she loved. Amen.
Meditate
This week, we pause to mourn and remember the Rev. Dr. Tanya Linn Bennett — beloved chaplain, professor, mentor, and a lifelong daughter of Drew. She gave her whole life to this community, and her light continues to shine in all she touched. We grieve with hope.
“Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die.”
