“Si tuvieras fe,” OneLicense #A-729109

If you only had faith
Just like a little seed
of mustard
This is what Jesus has said

If you only had faith
Just like a little seed
of mustard
This is what Jesus has said

You would be able
To tell this mountain:
¡Muévete, muévete!

You would be able
To tell this mountain:
¡Muévete, muévete!

Y la montaña se moverá
Se moverá
Se moverá

Y la montaña se moverá
Se moverá
Se moverá

Si tuvieras fe
Como un granito
de mostaza
eso lo dice el Señor

Tú le dirías
A esa montaña
İMuévete, muévete!

Y la montaña se moverá
Se moverá
Se moverá

Call to Worship

Leader: In the beginning—before plans, before clarity, before light—
God created.
People: We come to worship the One who speaks into the void and brings forth beauty from the formless.
Leader: The earth was without shape, and darkness covered the deep. But the Spirit of God hovered—brooding, waiting, stirring.
People: We gather in the swirl of uncertainty, trusting that the Spirit still hovers over our chaos.
Leader: Before there was order, there was presence. Before there was structure, there was Spirit.
People: We worship not because all is settled, but because God is near—even in the unknown.
All Together: Come, Creator God. Hover over our hearts, our churches, our visioning. Speak light into our darkness. Shape new creation from our chaos. We are ready to receive. Amen.

Opening Song

“Holy Is the Refugee” v. 1-3
Words: Hannah C. Brown, Music: Mark A. Miller

Holy is the refugee, holy is the guest,
Holy those who wander far from home.
Holy is the body seeking safety, warmth, and rest;
Beloved, find a welcome as your roam.

Holy are the questioning, holy are the queer,
Holy those who challenge, dance, and dear.
Holy are the bodies choosing joy instead of fear;
Beloved, claim a freedom all can share.

Singing holy, holy, holy! God who made us in their likeness,
Holy everybody, breath and soul.
Singing holy, holy, holy! God who made us in their likeness,
Holy everybody, breath and soul.

Holy are the dispossessed, holy are the spurned,
Holy are the profiled and patrolled.
Holy are the bodies harmed by hatred taught and learned,
Beloved now be shielded and consoled.

Holy is the enemy, holy is the friend.
Holy every spirit as it flames.
Holy is each body, held by love until the end,
Beloved may we know what God proclaims:

Singing holy, holy, holy! God who made us in their likeness,
Holy everybody, breath and soul.
Singing holy, holy, holy! God who made us in their likeness,
Holy everybody, breath and soul.

Breath and soul, every body, breath and soul.
Breath and soul, every body, breath and soul.

Scripture Readings

Genesis 1:1-2

1 When God began to create the heavens and the earth, 2 the earth was complete chaos, and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters.

Acts 2:1-4
2 When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 3 Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.

Leader: The Word of God for the people of God.
All: Thanks be to God.

Sacrament of Holy Communion

(liturgy adapted from A Rocha International)

Leader: God is here!.
People: God’s Spirit is with us.
Leader: Lift up your hearts.
People: We lift them to God.
Leader: Let us give thanks to God.
People: It is right to give thanks and praise.

Leader: You are worthy of our thanks and praise, God of life, for by the breath of your mouth you have spoken your word, and all things have come into being.

You fashioned us in your image and placed us in the garden of your delight to tend and keep your creation. Though we chose the path of rebellion you did not abandon your people nor your world. In the sign of the rainbow you drew all creatures into your covenant of grace.

In choosing a people for yourself you placed them in a land of plenty and furnished them with laws and prophets to guide them in seeking your reign of justice, mercy and peace.

As we watch for the signs of your kingdom on earth, we echo the song of the angels in heaven, evermore praising you and singing:

(Singing)
Holy, holy, holy Lord,
God of power and might,
heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest. Hosanna in the highest. Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is the one who comes
in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest. Hosanna in the highest. Hosanna in the highest.

Leader: God, you are the most holy one. In the coming of your child Jesus Christ, you reveal the power of your love made perfect in human weakness.

Embracing our createdness, Jesus showed the way of salvation, releasing all creation from its bondage to decay.

On the night before Jesus was executed, he took bread and gave you thanks;
he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying:
Take, eat; this is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me.

In the same way, after supper he took the cup and gave you thanks;
he gave it to them, saying: Drink this, all of you; this is my cup of the new covenant which is poured out for you. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.

Pour out your Holy Spirit, God, and let these gifts of your creation be to us the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Form us into the likeness of Christ. Come, Holy Spirit. Bless the earth, heal the sick, let the oppressed go free, and fill this community with your strength

Come, Holy Spirit. Gather your people from the ends of the earth to feast with all your saints at the table in your kin-dom.
Together, let us sing the prayer that Jesus taught us:

(singing) Our God, in heaven, holy is your name,
your reign come, your will done, on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread, and help us forgive, as we have been forgiven.
In the time of trial lead us into light,
for yours is the kindom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
Our God, in heaven, holy is your name, holy is your name.

“Ayudanos, O Dios”
Words and Music: Mark Miller, OneLicense #A-729109

Ayúdanos, oh Dios,
Concédenos tu paz.
Ayúdanos, oh Dios,
Concédenos tu paz.

Ayúdanos, oh Dios,
Concédenos tu paz.
Ayúdanos, oh Dios,
Concédenos tu paz.

Oh, help us, save us,
Grant us peace, O God!
Ayúdanos, help us,
grant us peace, O God!
Ayúdanos, oh Dios,
Concédenos tu paz.

“It Is Well with My Soul,” vs. 1 & 4, Words: Horatio G. Spafford

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
when sorrows like sea billows roll;
whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul.

Refrain:
It is well with my soul,
it is well, it is well with my soul.

  1. And, Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
    the clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
the trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
even so, it is well with my soul.
    (Refrain)

“Harvest of Love,” OneLicense #A-729109
Words: Laurie Zelman, Music: Mark Miller

In our sorrow, we journey head down.
In our sorrow, we journey head down.
In the dust of defeat, with our hearts at our feet,
We are planting our seeds in the ground.
We are planting our seeds in the ground.

May we offer our lives as the ground.
May we offer our lives as the ground.
Now our fears we forsake,
Let the seeds stir and wake.
May they grow in the peace
that we’ve found.
May they grow in the peace
that we’ve found.

It’s a mystery – who knows
How the harvest grows?
With our hands and our tears in the soil,
From the ground feel it rise,
Filled with joy and surprise.
‘Til the laughter like water flows!
‘Til the laughter like water flows!

So give thanks and rejoice at the sound!
So give thanks and rejoice at the sound!
For the song rises still,
And our arms God will fill.
Oh the harvest of love will astound
Yes the harvest of love will astound!

It’s a mystery – who knows
How the harvest grows?
With our hands and our tears in the soil,
From the ground feel it rise,
Filled with joy and surprise.
‘Til the laughter like water flows!
‘Til the laughter like water flows!
