Pray
Faithful Creator God,
You are Lord of heaven and earth,
the One who made all things and holds all life in Your hands.
You are the One from whom our breath, our strength, our very being come.
And though we may be surrounded by challenges, we recall that nothing is beyond Your care.
You created all nations, and You have marked the seasons of our lives with intention.
When we are uncertain, when we feel insignificant, remind us that our times are not arbitrary,
and that You are nearer than we think, close enough to be found
when we seek You with faith.
Grant us hope in our hearts, knowing that our lives are in You.
Grant us courage to live boldly as Your children,
and grant us peace that quiets us in every moment.
For in You, we live, we move, we have our being,
and we commit ourselves fully into Your loving presence.
Amen.

Acts 17:24-28 (NIV)
24 The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands.
25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.
26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.
27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
When everything around me feels unstable or chaotic, where am I being invited to trust God as my refuge and strength, and how might that trust bring peace to my heart today?
