Every Wednesday, we invite you to pause and pray with us. Today’s Pause & Pray is written and curated by Daeun Hong, the Chapel Graduate Assistant.

Pray
God our Creator,
All that comes from the heavens—rain, light and shade,
All that comes from the earth—the soil and the living ecosystems that sustain life,
And all that comes from human labor,
All these gifts are from you.
You have been present in every moment
Until they have reached our table.
As we live indebted to other lives,
Let us live also to nurture and sustain the lives of others.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
A meal prayer learned from my friend, Jeong Gyu
Meditate
Even though our lives are neither crystal clear nor seamless, and are sometimes vulnerable and weary, these very realities connect us to one another. In this connection, we find in-between to give thanks and to praise God. As we share the meal today, we also remember those who hunger today. May remind us that God’s gifts sustain us together and may our gratitude move us to widen the table until all are fed.
